Keeper has only appeared in two NHL contests since , so he was never expected to make Vancouver’s Opening Night roster. Assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed, he’ll be assigned to AHL Abbotsford. Vancouver waived Juulsen on Tuesday. Juulsen will be sent down to AHL Abbotsford if he clears. He provided two assists in eight NHL contests with Vancouver last year. Additionally, Juulsen posted 16 points in 50 games for Abbotsford in Stevens was placed on waivers by the Canucks on Tuesday.

Stevens will be assigned to Abbotsford of the AHL if he clears. He recorded 19 goals and 43 points in 68 games for Vancouver’s top minor-league affiliate last year. The year-old forward doesn’t have any NHL experience. Delia’s placement on waivers would seem to indicate that Spencer Martin has edged Delia out for the backup job behind Thatcher Demko. Delia was rocked by the Oilers on Monday to the tune of seven goals allowed on 36 shots.

Given his lackluster performance, it perhaps shouldn’t come as a surprise to see the year-old netminder headed for the minors. Delia will draw the start for Monday’s preseason game in Edmonton, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet reports.

Delia signed a one-year deal with Vancouver this offseason to be Thatcher Demko’s primary backup. The year-old posted a 3. Demko will protect the road goal in Saturday’s preseason game versus the Kraken, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet reports.

Demko will get his second start of the preseason in this contest behind a lineup that’s about a mix of NHL and AHL talent. Demko finished third in games played last season 64 and should once again find himself at the top of the league in that category this year as well.

The netminder’s frequent appearances in goal led him to 33 wins and a career-best 2. Still, Demko figures to offer top-end fantasy value regardless of format. Mikheyev lower body is reportedly not dealing with a long-term injury and could begin skating in the next days, Canucks ‘ beat writer Irfaan Gaffar reports Thursday.

There had been some rumblings that Mikheyev suffered a torn ACL which obviously would have sidelined him for most of the season but it seems those reports were premature. If the Russian winger does get back onto the ice in the coming days, it should clear the way for him to be available for Opening Night against the Oilers on Oct. Hoglander was also on the second power-play unit. Earlier in the preseason he was skating on a depth line with Nils Aman and Linus Karlsson, but injuries to Brock Boeser hand and Ilya Mikheyev lower body have created an opening for Hoglander.

It helps that he’s impressed early on, with Canucks coach Bruce Boudreau recently calling him “the best player on the ice so far. Mikheyev is considered week-to-week with a lower-body injury, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet reports. Another update on the year-old winger, who picked up 21 goals and 32 points through 53 games with Toronto last season, should surface once he’s cleared to resume skating. It’s certainly not a good sign for Dermott with Opening Night just two weeks away.

Even if the blueliner does miss significant time, his potential absence is unlikely to impact the majority of fantasy players considering has failed to reach the point mark in each of the previous three seasons.

Boeser had hand surgery Monday that will sideline him for weeks. Boeser figures to miss the first two weeks of the season given his recovery timeline outlined by the team, if not longer. Despite missing some games, Boeser should still be capable of reaching the point threshold for a fourth straight season and could even push for As such, Boeser figures to offer top-half fantasy value once cleared to play.

Boeser undisclosed is considered day-to-day and could practice Tuesday, Thomas Drance of The Athletic Vancouver reports. Head coach Bruce Boudreau said that Boeser is dealing with a “day-to-day thing,” though he didn’t guarantee that he’d be back at practice Tuesday.

The year-old forward landed a three-year extension this offseason after scoring 23 goals for the second straight year. More information on Boeser’s status should be available during this upcoming week. Mikheyev undisclosed left Sunday’s preseason game against Calgary and will not return. It’s unclear what type of injury Mikheyev is dealing with but he may have just been removed as a precaution. An update on the status of the year-old winger should be available in the coming days.

Poolman head participated in the Group C practice Thursday at the first day of the Canucks ‘ training camp, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet reports.

Poolman paired with Travis Dermott, though not much can be read from the first day of training camp. After being limited to three points in 40 games last year, Poolman is not considered a lock for the Canucks’ Opening Night roster, so the year-old will need to impress in camp. Hoglander groin was on the ice for Thursday’s practice session, Patrick Johnston of The Province reports.

Hoglander’s presence on the ice was encouraging, though it wasn’t all good news. The year-old skated alongside Nils Aman and Linus Karlsson, two players who are extremely likely to end up in the AHL to begin the season. Hoglander suffered a sophomore slump in with just 18 points in 60 games a year after he logged 27 points in 56 contests, so he’ll need a strong camp to reestablish himself in the Canucks ‘ NHL plans.

Pearson upper body practiced with J. Pearson appears to be over the injury that cost him the last 10 games of The winger had 34 points in 68 games, but it appears he’s still in contention for a significant top-six role to begin the new season.
