TDB develops new systems, novel approaches and methodologies to achieve conceptual breakthroughs in preclinical therapeutics. The branch also provides collaborative access to technology and expertise in the scientific disciplines of early-discovery biology and medicinal chemistry; drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics; toxicology; and chemistry, manufacturing and controls synthesis and formulation.

The selected candidate — a self-motivated, collaborative postdoctoral fellow — will join an interdisciplinary team with a focus on profiling different cell types and responses in the context of rare genetic diseases, infectious diseases and drug treatments.

The fellow will collaborate with researchers in other universities and Institutes and will learn preclinical drug development from colleagues in multidisciplinary project teams.

The fellow should obtain extensive experience and skills in this training program that can be applied toward translational research for therapeutics development.
