The GS General Engineer Series is included in the GS group which includes all classes of positions, the duties of which are to advise on, administer, supervise, or perform professional, scientific, or technical work concerned with engineering or architectural projects, facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, material or methods.
Positions in this group require knowledge of the science or art, or both, by which materials, natural resources, and power are made useful.
